Tastia Restaurant, Bakery and Cafe is recruiting suitable candidiates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Continental / Chinese Chef

Locations: Lugbe, Kubwa, Gwarimpa, and Life Camp – Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Duties and Responsibilities

Preparing, cooking, and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section
Assisting the Head Chef in creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes.
Assisting with the management of food hygiene practices
Monitoring portion and waste control
Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with restaurant standards.

Qualification

Must have at least OND Certificate with 5-8 years experience
Proven experience as a Chinese Chef and Continental Chef
In-depth knowledge of Chinese and Continental culinary techniques and ingredients.
Ability to create traditional and contemporary Chinese and Continentaldishes.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and standard
Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for Hygiene Supervisors” and/or “Basic Food Hygiene Certificate for Hygiene Managers” recognised by the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department would be an advantage.
