Nigerian model Samuel Nwajagu has shattered records to become the first African to win the prestigious Mister International title. The historic victory occurred at the 16th edition of the global pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand, on Saturday, December 14, 2024. Nwajagu’s achievement is being celebrated as a monumental moment, not just for Nigeria but for the entire African continent.

The competition, which attracted 47 contestants from across the world, saw Nwajagu dazzle the judges with his charisma, confidence, and outstanding stage presence. His journey to this global stage began in July 2024, when he was crowned Mister International Nigeria. This national title earned him a ticket to represent the country in Thailand, where he stood out among a pool of exceptionally talented participants.

Nwajagu’s meteoric rise to the top reached its climax in the final round, where he competed alongside Nguyễn Mạnh Lân of Vietnam and Glenn Victor Sutanto of Indonesia.
