St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64 bed hospital located in Ogungbade off New Ife road Ibadan. St Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of Dominican Sisters of St Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. We are registered and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Health. Also, we are accredited by the NHIS as both primary and secondary health care providers.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Nurse Assistant / Auxiliary Nurse

Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Charge Nurse or Nurse Manager

Job Summary

The Nurse Assistant provides basic care and support to patients under the supervision of licensed nurses.
Assists with daily living activities, vital signs, and other tasks to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities

Assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Take vital signs (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, etc.)
Serve meals and snacks, and assist with feeding as needed
Maintain patient rooms and common areas in a clean and orderly condition
Assist with transfers, ambulation, and positioning
Communicate patient needs and concerns to licensed nurses
Document patient information and vital signs accurately
Participate in patient care conferences and team meetings

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Completion of a nurse assistant training program
Basic life support (BLS) certification
Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have:

Experience in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to speak multiple languages
