The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) Students’ Union, under the leadership of Comrade Bello, has intensified efforts to seek justice for Idowu Christianah, a beloved student whose tragic death has shaken the entire university community. In a determined show of support, the Union provided an update on the progress made in the ongoing investigation, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.
Earlier today, the Union, alongside school management, visited the Lagos Police Headquarters, where the suspect is being held. The team met with the Lead Investigator, SP Banti CPSS, who confirmed that the suspect has confessed to the crime and that critical evidence has been uncovered. The Commander, CSP Oni, also assured them of a thorough and transparent investigation, pledging to keep the Union updated on all developments.
During a condolence visit to Christianah’s family, the Union offered heartfelt sympathies and support, expressing their sorrow and determination to fight for justice. “We are committed to standing by the family in this time of grief and ensuring that justice is served,” said Comrade Bello. The Union’s resolve reflects the anger and pain felt by all FUNAABites who are mourning Christianah’s loss.
As the investigation unfolds, the Students’ Union has vowed to remain vigilant, providing regular updates to the university community. The hashtag #JusticeforChristianah has gained momentum across social media, amplifying the call for swift action against those responsible. The Union’s message is clear: the fight for justice will not waver until Christianah receives the justice she deserves.
