Nigerians anger rise as pump price of petrol increase to N855/litre
Nigerians are fuming on social media as outrage grows over the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation’s (NNPC) recent fuel price hike. Many accused both NNPC and the Federal Government of pushing the nation toward economic hardship.
One commentator, Daniel, expressed his frustration, stating, “Lol… seems this is just the beginning. They are even proposing 10% VAT. I didn’t support Tinubu, but never did I think he’d be worse than Buhari.” Chase, another user, blasted government supporters, adding, “Let the praise singers continue… Jungle don continue to the RED!!!”
While most expressed anger, some, like “One God,” clung to hope, saying, “The gravity of the problem is enormous. But with the grace of God, our government will win.” In a sarcastic jab, Judeskyla Bardooo suggested, “Everybody should buy a bicycle… Asiwaju is committed to keeping everyone healthy.”
Amid the online uproar, another user, ‘My Opinion,’ condemned NNPC as a corrupt entity, declaring it one of the forces holding Nigeria back. The fuel price hike has amplified fears of soaring living costs, leaving citizens worried about the impact on daily life and the economy.
