Rema donates N150m to Christ Embassy Church

International music sensation Divine Ikubor, better known as Rema, has stunned fans and congregants by donating a whopping N150 million to Christ Embassy Church in Benin City, Edo State. The Edo-born artist made the generous donation during a special thanksgiving service, expressing gratitude for the church’s unwavering support during his childhood.
Rema, who was in Edo State for the Edo@33 celebrations and groundbreaking of the new 6,000-capacity Edo Dome, revealed that his donation was in appreciation of the church’s role in his life, especially after losing his father at the age of eight. “When I lost my dad, we felt lost and abandoned,” Rema emotionally recounted. “Pastor Joy and Pastor Thomas opened a shop for my mum, which helped us survive.”
Breaking down the donation, Rema pledged N40 million for church infrastructure, N20 million for Rhapsody of Realities publication, N25 million for the teen church where he grew up, and an additional N20 million to assist widows in the congregation.
“I’m not here to receive accolades; I’m here to give God the glory and show gratitude to the church that embraced me,” the superstar said, touching hearts with his heartfelt story of resilience and giving back.
