2. ND/HND NURSING(4 YEARS)

3. BNSC NURSING(5 YEARS)(The highest)

✅BASIC NURSING (3 YEARS)

Basic Nursing or Basic Midwifery Certificate:

After your 3-year Basic Nursing or midwifery program, you will be licensed as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife (RN/RM only).

✅ ND/HND NURSING (4 YEARS)
It is a 4-year Program, comprising two years of ND and two years of HND.
With one year of internship and one year of youth service.

The ND/HND NURSING Certificate: After your program, you will be licensed as a Registered Nurse or Midwife, and as a Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) with an ND/HND educational certificate.–RN, RM or RPHN and HND.

✅ BNSC NURSING – Bachelor of Nursing Sciences (5 YEARS)

After your 5-year program and a year of internship plus youth service, you will be licensed as a Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, and Registered Public Health Nurse, with an additional educational certificate of Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science– RN, RM, RPHN and Bscn

All three courses lead to an RN license.

The only difference is that others will have either an HND with their RN license or a BNSC with their RN and RM licenses which is the highest among the three, whereas the three-year Basic Nursing program only grants an RN license or RM license without any educational certificates.

By the end of this year, schools of Nursing are expected to upgrade their programs to ND/HND NURSING or be affiliated with a University for BNSc.
