Bayelsa judges proceed on annual vacation August 1st
The judiciary in Bayelsa State is set to commence its annual vacation from August 1 to September 13, with legal year activities slated to begin immediately after.
Julius Nyananyo, the judiciary spokesman, disclosed this in a statement issued in Yenagoa on Thursday. According to the statement, normal court sittings will resume on September 23 following the legal year ceremonies.
The chief judge of Bayelsa approved the annual vacation in accordance with Order 45, Rule 4 (d) of the Bayelsa State High Court Rules 2010. The statement assured the public, lawyers, and litigants that vacation judges would be available to handle urgent matters during this period.
