The awards were presented during the admission policy meeting in Abuja, chaired by Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau. JAMB Registrar, Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede, announced that the overall prize fund had been increased to N750 million to ensure substantial benefits for the winners. He also mentioned that any institution winning the top prize is ineligible to compete again for five years, allowing other institutions to have a chance at the award.

Prof. Oloyede revealed that JAMB had remitted over N3.5 billion to the federal government this year and allocated N750 million for the award-winning institutions.

Deputy Senate President Jibril Barau commended the awardees, noting that the ceremony celebrated their collective achievements and dedication to excellence in the nation’s tertiary admission processes.

The event also saw recognition awards given to former Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Emeritus Peter Okebukola, and the National Coordinator of the UBEC Digital Resource Centre, Prof. Bashir Galadanci, among others, for their contributions to the education sector.

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Prof. Okebukola expressed gratitude to God and JAMB for the recognition.
