Oyo Rep, Akinremi ‘Jagaban’ is dead

The Nigerian House of Representatives has been struck by tragedy as Olajide Akinremi, affectionately known as ‘Jagaban’, has passed away.

The cause of his sudden death on Wednesday remains unknown. Akinremi, who served the Ibadan North Federal Constituency of Oyo State, was a beloved figure in his community and the National Assembly.

In keeping with tradition, the National Assembly has announced the suspension of all plenary and committee activities to mourn and honor their late colleague. The nation joins in grieving the loss of a dedicated public servant.
