Gunmen Kidnap Pregnant Woman due for delivery on her way to hospital in Ogun

In a shocking incident, gunmen have kidnapped a heavily pregnant woman, Mrs. Ogunbunmi, in the heart of Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital.

Mrs. Ogunbunmi, who was en route to the state Hospital in Ijaiye for her delivery, was reported missing after leaving her home in Oke Lantoro. Her husband, Ogunbunmi Lateef, received a chilling WhatsApp message from the abductors confirming her capture.

Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident, stating, “One Ogunbunmi Lateef of Oke Lantoro, Abeokuta reported that his pregnant wife, due for delivery, left home for state Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta. He then received a WhatsApp message confirming the abduction of his wife by unknown armed men.”

The police command has since been alerted and an investigation is underway to ensure her safe return.
