Tensions escalate in Kano State as security agencies reveal a foiled plot to unleash terror and set the state ablaze. On Sunday night, Commissioner of Police Usaini Gumel, alongside heads of the DSS, NSCDC, and other security agencies, announced the discovery of a plan targeting the Kano State House of Assembly and other prominent locations.

In a press briefing, CP Gumel detailed that the security forces have credible intelligence on a group of miscreants planning to attack key sites, including the residence of the Majority Leader, Lawan Hussaini, and other prominent figures. The plot, verified by multiple sources, aims to disrupt the state’s peace and stability.

“We have uncovered a credible plot by enemies of the state aiming to launch coordinated attacks on significant locations, particularly the House of Assembly,” stated CP Gumel. “We are launching extensive patrols and targeted searches to root out these elements. No one disrupting our peace will be spared.”

CP Gumel announced an imminent house-to-house search to apprehend those involved, emphasizing the commitment to maintaining order and security. “Anyone found planning to jeopardize the state’s security will face the full wrath of the law,” he affirmed.

Reliable sources suggest that the plotters were mobilized and financially incentivized to destabilize Kano, aiming at high-profile targets to incite widespread fear and chaos.
