Don’t allow anybody drag you into politics – Senate president Akpabio advices Davido

In a vibrant meeting in Abuja, Senate President Godswill Akpabio advised Afrobeat sensation Davido to steer clear of political entanglements. During the courtesy visit on Monday, Akpabio praised Davido for his immense contributions to the nation’s pride and urged him to continue being a stellar ambassador for Nigeria.

“For me and for President Bola Tinubu’s government, inclusivity is key. We’ve shown unity across party lines. Despite your background in a PDP family, our shared goal is Nigeria’s prosperity. With over 240 million citizens, our country’s love for you is unparalleled. Remain focused on your music and resist political distractions,” Akpabio stated passionately.

He assured Davido that the political sphere values and supports artistic talent, emphasizing patience and prayers for collective success.

Davido, who was accompanied by his cousins Tunji Adeleke and Folasade Adeleke, shared his philanthropic efforts and teased his upcoming album release in June or July. “I’m committed to societal support through my Foundation, which donates N300 to N400 million annually to orphanages. Thank you for your continuous support,” Davido said.
