Bloomberg reported on Thursday that Nigeria’s newly constructed Dangote refinery in Lagos aims to procure millions of barrels of US crude oil over the next year to increase its processing capacity.
The plant has initiated a term tender for the acquisition of two million barrels monthly of West Texas Intermediate Midland crude, spanning 12 months from July onwards.
The report noted that the refinery, spearheaded by Africa’s wealthiest individual, Aliko Dangote, has issued this tender, which is set to close on May 21.
