Bandits Kill 3, Kidnap 120 Villagers in Zamfara community

In a chilling midnight raid, notorious bandits unleashed terror on Goran Namaye community in Zamfara State’s Maradun Local Government Area, killing three and abducting over 120 residents. The attack, which occurred at 1:17 am on Thursday, saw armed terrorists invading homes and dragging victims into the night.

Abubakar Muhammad, a local resident, described the chaos and fear as the heavily armed bandits, mounted on motorcycles, encircled the village. “They took us by surprise, moving from house to house, and herding mainly women and men into the forest,” he recounted. The assailants killed three people during the rampage, leaving the community in disarray.

As dawn broke, the whereabouts of many residents remained unknown, with families torn apart by the tragedy. Despite the magnitude of the assault, security agencies have yet to release an official statement, leaving the community grappling with fear and uncertainty.
