Osun Teenager Gets 3-Year Jail Term for Stealing Water Taps

18-year-old Abiodun Adewuyi found himself in hot water after a daring daylight heist of water taps in Durodola community, Owode-Ede town. Sentenced to three years in the slammer, this audacious thief’s spree left locals dripping mad!

Caught red-handed by vigilant operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Adewuyi’s faucet frolics came to an abrupt end on April 16. With seven brass water taps in tow, he was swiftly arraigned before Chief Magistrate V. A. Adedokun, where justice rained down upon him.

But the drama doesn’t stop there! Investigations revealed a murky underworld of scrap metal sales, where stolen taps found new life. As the case unfolds, the Osun NSCDC Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, issues a stern warning to would-be delinquents: crime doesn’t pay, and the long arm of the law is always on the lookout.

Parents and guardians, take heed! It’s time to tighten the tap on juvenile delinquency before it floods our communities with shame. The NSCDC stands vigilant, ensuring that no criminal can hide from justice’s cleansing tide.
