Kenyan authorities have finally nabbed Nadeem Anjarwalla, a high-ranking executive at cryptocurrency giant Binance. Anjarwalla’s dramatic flight from Nigeria, amidst a crackdown on the platform, culminated in his capture by Kenyan police.

Anjarwalla’s escape from Nigerian custody triggered a collaborative effort involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Interpol, Nigerian Police, and Kenyan Police Service, all striving to bring him to justice.

The EFCC’s relentless pursuit, detailed in their bulletin, exposes a web of financial misdeeds totaling a staggering $35.4 million, implicating not only Anjarwalla but also Binance Holdings Limited and executive Tigran Gambaryan. While Gambaryan is already in custody, Anjarwalla’s extradition looms large, showcasing EFCC’s unwavering commitment to stabilize Nigeria’s forex market.

Teaming up with global law enforcement powerhouses like Interpol, the FBI, and the governments of the UK, Northern Ireland, and Kenya, the EFCC aims to ensure Anjarwalla’s swift return for trial, leaving no stone unturned in their pursuit of justice.
