Bauchi Police Apprehend Man for Fatally Stabbing Own Brother

In a tragic turn of events, a heated argument between brothers in Bauchi Metropolis escalated into a fatal stabbing, leaving one dead and another behind bars. Isyaku Babale, 30, stands accused of fatally stabbing his elder brother after a dispute over the use of cold patch liquid, locally known as ‘Sholi.’

According to reports from the Bauchi State Police Command, the altercation erupted into violence in the early hours of March 31, 2024, culminating in tragedy. Despite efforts to save the victim, he was pronounced dead upon arrival at Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital.

The swift action of law enforcement led to the arrest of Babale near Kasuwan Shanu area shortly after the incident. Initial investigations reveal a history of friction between the siblings, often escalating to physical altercations involving dangerous weapons.

SP Ahmed Wakil, spokesperson for the Bauchi State Police Command, disclosed that Commissioner of Police Auwal Musa has ordered a thorough investigation to uncover the motives behind Babale’s actions. The incident underscores the need for conflict resolution and intervention to prevent such tragic outcomes within families.
