Dangote Donates 80,000 Bags of Rice as Palliatives to Lagos
In a heartwarming display of compassion, the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF) has launched a monumental effort to aid the vulnerable in Lagos state. A staggering 80,000 10kg bags of rice are set to be distributed, marking just a fraction of the over one million bags earmarked for nationwide support.
Aliko Dangote, the visionary behind this initiative and chairman of the foundation, emphasized the values of solidarity and empathy as the driving force behind this massive undertaking. This rice distribution, coupled with the daily provision of 12,500 loaves of bread in Lagos, exemplifies the foundation’s unwavering commitment to alleviating the plight of those in need.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos commended Dangote for his relentless efforts in easing the burdens of Nigerians, lauding him for prioritizing human welfare over profit. This gesture echoes the foundation’s ethos of putting people first, leaving an indelible mark of compassion on the fabric of society.
As these rice bags pour into the hands of the vulnerable, they carry not just sustenance, but also a promise of brighter days ahead, thanks to the generosity and goodwill of the Dangote Foundation.
