On Wednesday, the Ikeja Sexual Offences and Domestic Violence Court sentenced a man, Ojo Oladeji, to life in prison for defiling an 11-year-old juvenile.

In his decision, Justice Rahman Oshodi stated that the prosecution had proven beyond reasonable doubt the charge of defilement against Ojo.
Oshodi stated that the convict’s confessional testimony, the medical report, and firsthand proof from the survivor demonstrated that he committed the crime.

According to him, “The prosecutrix (survivor) testified that the defendant, a bricklayer, had led her to an unfinished building three times, given her beer, and had sex with her.

“I believe the prosecutrix’s direct witness testimony, her visits to the police and the hospital, and the role her mother played bolstered her case.
