StarTimes, the Pay-TV service, is set to raise prices across all its packages by 15%, aligning with a move similar to Multichoice. This change arrives ahead of the African Cup of Nations broadcast starting on Saturday, January 13.

Commencing from Wednesday, January 10, 2024, StarTimes will roll out its revised subscription pricing, as initially announced on January 6, 2024. The decision to increase prices, affecting both Terrestrial TV (Antenna) and Satellite TV (Dish) bouquets, was clarified by the company to ensure sustained delivery of top-notch content to subscribers.

In a statement shared on its platform, StarTimes attributed the price adjustment to the goal of maintaining content quality while expanding offerings. The adjustment entails a 13% hike for Nova bouquet subscribers, with their monthly fee rising from N1,500 to N1,700.

For Smart bouquet users, the increase is set at 6%, elevating the monthly charge from N3,500 to N3,708. Additionally, special and super subscribers will witness their fees climb to N5,600 and N7,500 respectively, up from N5,000 and N6,500.

The company reassures its commitment to providing outstanding service and expressed gratitude to its subscribers for their continued support.
