Security forces eliminate three terrorists and successfully rescue hostages in Sokoto operation.
The Joint Task Force, North West Operation Hadarin Daji, has reported the successful neutralization of three terrorists in Sokoto State. The Nigerian Army confirmed this as part of their ongoing efforts to ensure a peaceful yuletide season. Through coordinated clearance and offensive operations, they targeted terrorist groups within their jurisdictions.
According to an official statement released on their verified platform, the operation occurred in Bauni village and forest in Sokoto on Thursday. A prolonged gun battle ensued, during which the troops’ determined aggression and superior firepower compelled the terrorists to abandon their hideouts and flee in disarray.
As a result, six kidnapped victims were rescued, and three terrorists were neutralized. Additionally, the troops recovered 2 AK47 rifles, 19 magazines, ammunition, 2 Dane guns, motorcycles, radios (walkie talkies), and various other items. All discovered terrorist hideouts and motorcycles were immediately destroyed during the operation.
